SCAN TO BIM LONDON : Commercial Building, King’s Cross / Pentonville Road N1
This modern commercial building on Pentonville Road, King’s Cross was surveyed and modelled to support an internal refurbishment and services upgrade. The instruction required complete external and internal capture to provide an accurate Revit model for coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
The survey data was acquired through high-density laser scanning, producing a registered point cloud used as the foundation for detailed Revit modelling. The building, comprising approximately 9,000 m² of office accommodation, was modelled to include all core areas and façades, ensuring every design package could be referenced against verified as-built geometry.

This West End period property near Oxford Circus was surveyed and modelled as part of a Scan to BIM instruction to support internal refurbishment and reconfiguration. This Scan to BIM survey covered 34–36 Bedford Square, Bloomsbury WC1B, three adjoining Grade I-listed Georgian townhouses forming part of London’s finest preserved square. PointBIM was commissioned to undertake a full-colour laser scan and Revit model of the entire terrace to support refurbishment, conservation, and long-term facilities planning for the Architectural Association.
The properties were captured internally and externally using high-resolution colour scanning, producing a comprehensive registered point cloud that documented every room, façade, and connecting structure. From this dataset, PointBIM developed a coordinated Revit model to enhanced LOD 3 specification, representing the existing architectural and structural fabric with exceptional clarity.
